Thank you Rob for an excellent and informative tour of Barra and Vatersay. The three hours just flew by and we were inspired and impressed by your wealth of knowledge of the islands. A memorable morning - and thanks for sending on my sister's hat!

Hi Rob, Just a quick note to thank you again for a great tour of the island and your dvd gift which I have been watching already !! We both had a great time and enjoyed seeing the places you took us to and your in-depth knowledge of the island. I've already recommended you to a friend who is looking to visit sometime soon and Sheila will make sure Karen is made aware of your hopes !! Many thanks again for giving me a memorable birthday. Best wishes Ian and Sheila

What can I say! Such fun, such knowledge and true devotion to and affection for Barra’s history. Rob opened up a window to the past and showed us how to seek out and see today our previous footprints. Thank you Rob for making my heritage real.

Came to love Barra last week with my twin sisters. We intended to do a bit of family history on the island. Rob gave us a delightful tour with great local knowledge and was kind enough to follow up on some of our enquires. I would strongly recommend this as a great way to see and find out about this beautiful place. Many thanks.

My 2 friends and I booked a 4 hour tour with Rob as we were only on the island for 2 days and we wanted to see as much as we could. This did not disappoint in fact it far exceeeded our expectations. Rob was so friendly and his knowledge of the island was exceptional along with his obvious passion and enthusiasm for a place he clearly loved. The island itself was magnificent and around every corner there was a view that looked straight out of a film. Fabulous . As for Vatersay bay there are no words to describe this little piece of heaven. We could have stayed looking at the scene before us all day. We will be back to visit. Thank you so much Rob for a great tour.

What an ENJOYABLE and INFORMATIVE time we spent with Rob! His knowledge of Barra is only exceeded by the island's beauty! He provided a personal tour and personal attention, as if we were the only people on the island! We thought landing on the beach would be an experience. Rob exceeded ALL expectations! We left with GREAT Memories and a sincere hope to return someday. THANKS Rob! We wish you and your family all the BEST!

Can not recommend Rob and Barra Island Tours enough, from the first contact (found on a Google search) to him dropping Mum & Dad back at Airport on Sat 11.03.17. They had a great time and the sun even came out of hiding. If your doing the Flybe day trip to the island this Tour is not to be missed, you would not see the beauty of the island without Barra Island Tours and Rob. Helen

Thank you Rob for making my sister Kathy and my trip so wonderful. Our trip around the Isle was so beautiful and you are just a wealth of knowledge. I also want to thank you for the USB and all the wonderful pictures! I don't know why I even brought a camera!! I have several jealous relatives who will no doubt be contacting you for their tours with you someday.

d a lovely coach tour round Barra and other islands, greatly enhanced by Rob's extensive knowledge of the area and the relaxed way he covered the details. Made you want to find out more.Because of the greater number on board the coach he was inundated with questions, I think being part of a small group in his mini bus would be an advantage. However, if this trip is in the Coach brochure for 2016 I would be happy to come back. Moran taing form Catriona and othersl on the tour bus.

You have not really been to Barra when haven´t had a tour with Rob Daly. As a former teacher he has a unique style to explanin even complicated historical Backgrounds. He knows very well all the hidden treasures of the Island and makes you familiar with the history of the MacNeil Clan. While others hurry by, you stand in an ancient round-house or at a mark the Vikings left ... you´ll never find all these places on your own. So, hurry up to get an interesting, beautiful day just like my wife and me had on my birthday, 7th of May 2015. Thomas and Gisela from Germany.

Our two night, one day stay on Barra was made very memorable and enjoyable by Rob Daly. He was most accommodating and helpful by email as we planned our trip and came through with all he promised and more. Rob is very knowledgeable about the island and obviously loves living there and sharing it with others. He even took the time at the end of the day to drop us off at the best vantage point up the road from town to climb Heaval. Thank you Rob! We had a marvelous day with you.

Thank you so much Barra Island Tours for such a fabulous and comprehensive tour of the Island of Barra and the neighboring island. It was an absolutely wonderful learning experience to hear the history of our ancestors in the area. Thanks again!

The first full day of our six-day coach trip to the Outer Hebrides was spent on Barra and Vatersay, before crossing over to Eriskay. Rob was our guide on the bus that day and gave us much information about the island and was also very willing to answer our questions. We enjoyed that day very much and would happily have stayed in Barra a bit longer to see and hear more. Rob's knowledge and enthusiasm made this a memorable experience.

Rob is a wonderful guide, full of knowledge of the history of Barra. I would not have seen or learnt nearly as much had I not taken the tour.

Rob is a very informative and interesting guide, especially knowledgeable about the history and ways of life on Barra in the past. Rob is happy to answer all kinds of questions, and combined with his backup of reference material nothing seemed to stump him! This tour gave as a great overview of both Barra and Vatersay, and some ideas of places to re-visit when we return.

Thank you Rob for the great tour of Barra in August 2014. We would have missed so much of the beautiful Islands of Barra and Vatersay and their history without your tour. We highly recommend Rob as your guide. Thank you for all the information you gave to us Rob.

A great introduction to Barra by a very knowledgeable, enthusiastic guide. Rob went out of his way to show us the history and sights of the island. Well recommended for anyone who has limited time on the island or who wants an introduction at the start of a longer stay. Many thanks P & K

Well all the contributors to-date have said it all really! Rob's tour was excellent, our party of six thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the knowledge imparted. This was the second or third visit for the men of the party who were Rover Scouts when they surveyed parts of the island fifty years ago. At that time we didn't appreciate the depth of history. The friendly tour certainly enhanced our reunion holiday. Thank you Rob.

Because the bus on Barra did not allow dogs on board, we came in contact with Rob, who saved our day! It is really true that he shows you what you would miss, when you tour Barra on your own. Thank you so much for the wonderfull day and for taking so good care of us and our Labrador Bracken.

Rob, Chrissy and I could not have chosen any better when deciding to come to Barra on our honeymoon and hiring you to tour us around the island. We sincerely appreciate your overwhelming level of knowledge about your home. It is obvious that the history of Barra is your passion & you enjoy sharing that with others. We certainly plan on returning from New York in the future to see you and the island again! Thank you for everything, Brian and Chrissy Neilson

This has been one of the best days in Sotland ever, was our first reaction right after the 4 hour tour. We've seen more than we dreamt of and our heads are still buzzing from all the information given. Thanks for the background stories told and the very friendly way of passing this afternoon. We enjoyed every second! Best Amelie & Gerald

Rob Daly, Rick and I want to thank you so much for the transportation and tour. We learned so very much and couldn't have seen half of the things on our own that you showed us. And thank you again for all the "special pressy's". You were just wonderful to us from the moment we arrived until we waved goodbye at the airport. Our trip would never have been as amazing, without you!! Thank you so much and if all goes well we will see you again in May. God Bless!

Had a lovely few days in Barra last week, went on an Island tour with Rob and had a great day, he took us all over the island he obviously loves and was a source of information on the history, flora and fauna of the island. We had also arranged for Rob to take us to and from the airport which saved us hanging about for a bus.I would thoroughly recommend a tour with Rob to anyone going to Barra. Thanks again Rob for a lovely day.

What a fabulous ambassador and all round great fellow Rob Daly is! To say that he made us feel right at home is an absolute understatement. Rob is passionate about his home and shares that freely. There is nothing that you will miss on the Isle of Barra in Rob's capable hands. We've already started our "we must return" fund. Rob truly makes you feel like you're coming home! Thank you for everything.

I am a Travel Agent from Australia, and when I had a client request travel to the Outer Hebrides I was lucky enough to find Rob. So helpful with all my enquiries and lack of knowledge of the area. I have a client there now who is near the end of her stay and all things have moved through beautifully. I can't recommend Barra Island Tours highly enough. Top stuff.. Thank you again. Penny

Stayed on Barra from 20-24th May as part of my husband's 50th birthdsay celebrations. We were a party of 9 and managed to get Rob and Rob to organise a tour of the island. It was relaxed, informative and thoroughly enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone visiting the island as it lets you sit back and ejoy. The two Robs were happy to stop as many times as we wanted to allow for photo-shoots and they also pointed out places of interest that we were able to come back and visit during our stay - still not managed to find the seals! Thanks for a great tour and allowing us the opportunity to see the whole island at its best. A return trip is on the cards as we all had such a great time.
